Dear Brothers and Sisters,

            The United Garifuna Association Inc. hereby inform the general public that as of this week, the Cultural Center Wabatou will be open every weekend and the schedule is as follows: Fridays from 9:00 P.M. Until!!!, Saturdays From 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Domino Competition Tournament which will be followed by a party and Sundays from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Bingo Games followed by a Jump Up  after the games until!!!.

           The center is now equipped with telephone, internet and television for us to watch sports and other programs. The official telephone number for the center is the one listed above and you must feel free to call this number at anytime to inquire about anything and somebody from the association will get back in touch with you if you leave a message. Remember, when visiting the center it is asked that you abide by the Club Rules which are posted on the wall at the entrance of the center to your right. Failure to adhere to the rules, could result in expulsion from this Cultural Center indefinitely.

          If you are interested in becoming a member, you can request an application form to become a member of this association to be entitled to membership privileges. This form must be submitted to an Officer of the association preferably the Secretary with a $50. check or money order in the name of the association which is listed above. Pretty soon, we will be issuing membership cards to the members and they will be entitled to the use of the facilities on a first come first basis, half price on association functions and other benefits which are being proposed in the pipeline.

         The association is appealing to the general public for donations in the forms of:

1-Money made out in the form of a check or money order in the association’s name.

2-Folding chairs and folding tables to seat our people when they come to the center.

3-Computer, office supplies and equipments

4-Sporting equipments, supplies for our children and youth for all sports.

5-Construction equipments to complete our Male Bathroom, Kitchen, Stage, Office and Utility Room.

6-We would appreciate any form of assistance that you can provide in order to assist us in alleviating the cost of managing and operating this center.

Remember, that it took a lot of hard work for us to reach this point in our lives and we do not intend to turn back the clock of time.
